I am reading a wonderful, amazing and mind-boggling book titled Breaking Loose from the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can’t Win, by Robert Scheinfeld (John Wiley & Sons, Hoboken New Jersey, 2006). I highly recommend this book! www.bustingloose.com

Busting Loose from the Money Game could just as well be called How to Wake Up and Enjoy the Human Game. The idea is that our lives are a miraculous game of our own creation. Nothing new here…but for some reason, the ways in which these ideas are presented feel fresh and exciting to me.

Many of the ideas presented by Robert Scheinfeld are radical, but they also correspond with the sacred, timeless teachings of spiritual mystics, holy persons and adepts of all traditions, especially those of the Far East. The suggestion that our lives are a miraculous game fits with the idea of Lila in the Hindu tradition, in which all reality is the result of the creative play of the one divine absolute creator (God or Brahman). The great Swami Baba Muktananda said that the world we experience is simply a play of consciousness.
